My Biography and Experience
I have had a passion for the world of Circus from a very early age. When I was taken to Sir Robert Fossett's Circus as a surprise treat. I have collected Circus memorabilia for many years and since the early 1990's.
I have developed a keen interest in Circus photography. For several years now I have written articles for the World's Fair weekly newspaper which also includes photographs of the performances. Circus photography can be challenging, due to often low lights and fast moving subjects, but that it's all the part of the attraction to try and capture the moment.
I was very flattered when one of the Circus propietors wives, who is herself an artist, described me as "having an artist eye for composition".
During 2015 and 2016 I have had two hard back books published by a Dutch publisher BECOM, on the history of Gerry Cottle's Circus, which features a large number of my own images.
My photographs are also often used now on posters , programs and websites of many of the largest touring Circuses in the UK and Europe, including the Moscow State Circus, Hungarian State Circus building in Budapest and Palace Au Spectacle in Geneva, as well as Circus magazines King Pole in the UK and the Piste and Circus photo magazine in Holland.
I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy taking them.
